This is a photo of me and the group that went to a homeless shelter in Tijuana called La Roca to help in a clinic. It was a very good learning experience for me as I was able to do many of the tasks that a primary physician would do here in the US without having to worry about the consequences of practicing without a license. It was also very eye opening to see how difficult some people have it in their lives and how such little effort on our ends can make such a big impact in their lives. Overall I was very pleased with this trip and I would definitely recommend anyone who wants to pursue a career in the medical field to make the trip themselves. Thank you again Dr. Lockett for all of your efforts and for making this possible in this first place by giving us the opportunity to meet with all the unique speakers you bring in week in and week out.
